SRJ manufactures HRS-compatible replacement plates and gaskets engineered to match the herringbone plate pattern, port geometry, and gasket groove of HRS gasketed units, so plate packs already installed in your plant can be refreshed without modifying the existing frame.

Our HRS-compatible plates are available in AISI 304, AISI 316, and Titanium, matching HRS's standard material range, in plate thicknesses of 0.6mm as standard with 0.8mm and 1.0mm options, and gaskets are supplied in EPDM and NBR compounds depending on your process fluid and hygiene requirements. Every plate and gasket is dimensionally checked and pressure-tested before dispatch, giving plant engineers and procurement teams a reliable, drop-in alternative to OEM lead times.

SRJ manufactures replacement plates and gaskets compatible with HRS gasketed plate heat exchangers, pressed on tooling matched to the original herringbone corrugation pattern, port positions, and gasket groove profile. Since HRS plate packs consist of herringbone-patterned plates assembled in an inverse formation to create two sets of parallel flow channels, matching the exact corrugation direction and pitch is critical to preserving the turbulence and heat transfer performance the unit was designed to deliver - which is exactly what our tooling is built to replicate.

HRS Gasketed Plate Heat Exchangers are manufactured as standard in AISI 304/316 stainless steel or titanium, typically at 0.6mm plate thickness, with 0.8mm or 1.0mm options available for higher-duty applications. SRJ produces compatible plates across this same material and thickness range, so a plate change does not compromise the corrosion resistance or mechanical rating your unit was originally specified for. HRS units span a very wide capacity range - from smaller systems handling around 0.7 litres per second up to large industrial units capable of flow rates approaching 819 litres per second - and SRJ maintains reference dimensions across this range to support both compact hygienic units and large industrial installations.

A key feature of HRS hygienic plate design is the use of glueless, clip-type gaskets, which use two-pronged clips that slide beneath the plate edge to hold the gasket securely in the groove without adhesive. SRJ manufactures compatible clip-type gaskets to the same fitting standard, which reduces maintenance downtime and avoids the odour and mess associated with glued gasket replacement - an important consideration in food, dairy, and pharmaceutical environments where hygiene and changeover speed matter.

HRS units also commonly use a double-seal gasket arrangement around the ports, so that in the event of a seal failure, fluid is directed to the outside of the unit through an inter-space channel rather than cross-contaminating the other fluid circuit. SRJ's compatible plates and gaskets are manufactured to preserve this double-seal port design, which is particularly important in sanitary and pharmaceutical-grade applications where fluid separation is a hygiene and safety requirement. For applications needing an extra layer of protection, SRJ can also supply compatible double-wall safety plates.

HRS designs its plate packs using two thermal-length plate types - high theta and low theta - mixed in proportion to achieve the correct heat transfer duty for a given application at the lowest cost. SRJ replicates both plate types where required, so a mixed plate pack replacement maintains the same thermal balance as the original design rather than defaulting to a single generic plate profile.

Gaskets are supplied in EPDM for general hygienic, water, and moderate-temperature duty, and NBR where oil or hydrocarbon compatibility is needed. All gasket batches are checked for correct groove and clip fit before dispatch. For HRS units without complete documentation - common on older installations - SRJ can manufacture custom plates and gaskets from a physical sample or measured drawing, backed by our ISO 9001:2015 certified quality process including dimensional checks, gasket fit verification, and pressure testing of the assembled plate pack on request.
