Tranter is a long-established global manufacturer of gasketed plate heat exchangers, best known for its Superchanger® product line, used across oil & gas, chemical/petrochemical, power, food & beverage, pharmaceutical, and general industrial heat transfer applications. Tranter's plate range is built on a module-based concept - frames, plates, and connections combined to create a range of different exchanger types - spanning herringbone (UX, SX, GC), Ultraflex diagonal-flow (GX), and wide-gap/washboard (GF) plate patterns. SRJ manufactures replacement plates and gaskets engineered to match the original port geometry, plate corrugation, and gasket groove profile used across the Tranter Superchanger range, so units already installed in your plant can be re-plated and re-gasketed without any change to the existing frame.

Our Tranter-compatible plates are available in stainless steel (SS304/316), and gaskets are supplied in NBR, EPDM, Viton, Neoprene, Butyl, Hypalon, and Teflon-encapsulated NBR, matching Tranter's own wide gasket material selection. Every plate and gasket is dimensionally checked and pressure-tested before dispatch, giving plant engineers and procurement teams a reliable, drop-in alternative to OEM lead times.

SRJ manufactures replacement plates and gaskets compatible with Tranter Superchanger® plate heat exchangers, pressed on tooling matched to original port position, plate corrugation, and gasket groove geometry across the GX, GC/GCP, UX/UXP, GF/GFP, GL, GD, GW, and related series. Because each plate replicates the original clamping dimension and port layout, it seats correctly on the carrying and guiding bars of your existing frame and holds the correct plate pack tightening dimension, without requiring any modification to the frame or tightening bolts.

Tranter's Superchanger range offers four principal plate corrugation patterns to suit different duties. The UX, SX, and GC series use a herringbone (chevron) pattern, ideally suited for handling aqueous solutions, with the GC/GCP series specifically designed with the gasket groove in the bottom plane and a parallel flow direction for applications where low pressure drop is required. The GX series uses an "Ultraflex" diagonal-flow design with the gasket groove in the neutral plane, particularly effective when flows are unbalanced and allowable pressure drops are reasonably close between the two fluid circuits. The GF series uses wide-gap and parallel (washboard) patterns, designed for high-viscosity fluids or streams carrying particulates and fibres - commonly used in pulp & paper, sugar processing, alcohol production, grain processing, and ethanol distilling, where the deeper plate draw depth (two to five times that of conventional plates) allows coarse particles to pass without clogging.

SRJ's tooling reproduces these specific corrugation patterns and draw depths for each Tranter series, so a replacement plate preserves the pressure drop and heat transfer characteristics the unit was originally designed to deliver - whether that's a tight-flow GX configuration, a low-pressure-drop GC/GCP setup, or a wide-gap GF arrangement for viscous or particulate-laden media. Tranter also offers double-wall (GD) and semi-welded (GW) plate variants for applications requiring leak-detection separation or resistance to aggressive media, which SRJ can support with matched compatible plate assemblies.

Gaskets on Tranter units are available as glued gaskets or as part of Tranter's Clip-On glueless gasket system, which the manufacturer specifically recommends wherever regular cleaning is necessary or aggressive fluids would otherwise shorten gasket life. SRJ manufactures gaskets to match either fixing method in NBR, EPDM, Viton, Neoprene, Butyl, Hypalon, and Teflon-encapsulated NBR, covering the same wide material range Tranter itself offers, up to maximum operating temperatures around 180°C depending on the compound selected.

SRJ's in-house Noida facility allows Tranter-compatible plates and gaskets to be manufactured to order, supporting both recently installed Superchanger units and older Tranter installations where genuine OEM spares may involve longer import lead times. Every production batch is backed by our ISO 9001:2015 certified quality process - dimensional and flatness checks on plates, groove-fit verification on gaskets, and pressure testing of assembled plate packs on request - giving your procurement team a documented basis for approving non-OEM Tranter-compatible parts.
